Whoops...

Hello again!
Looks like I fell behind, whoops! :( Sorry guys. Anyways. Birthday was a success: homemade onion rings were wonderful, and burgers- mmmmm. My cupcakes turned out perfect once I got my microplane  to help. Since then I've made quite a bit of things. Miniature pumpkin pie bites, PB&J Sandwich cookies (YUM), plain sugar cookies, Turmeric Shrimp Rice, Crab Rangoons, and Macaroni and Cheese . Oh don't forget all that we've made in class.Hope to be making a bunch more soon, having a Pampered Chef party this weekend which I'm excited about... and I think that's about it in recent news.
Club News-
we ARE having a meeting on thursday and we have a bake sale Wednesday the 27th. We're working on finding a time to make Spaetzel.
Happy cooking :D

2 Days Until BBQ! YAY!

Hey Everyone!
Went to the store to get things for Saturday's BBQ, I'm starting to get really excited. Looks like the menu will be: Teriyaki Burgers, Oriental Cabbage Salad, Homemade Onion Rings, Sun Chips, Coconut Lime Cupcakes with White Chocolate Frosting, and a veggie tray. Oh and a punch type thing. Recipes will be posted on Saturday :)
Happy cooking everyone :)

Club News
Sooo the meeting today went fairly well... I think. I can't really tell, everyone was so quiet! I'll email people to find out how to do bake sales and posters and such... If anyone knows how to do this, let me know :]

OH! And first meeting tomorrow!

Culinary Arts Club people-
First meeting is tomorrow Room 1 @ Lunch! Bring your food, drinks provided my Ms. Bennett. If you'd like to bring a dessert to share please do so! And recipe cards would be a huge plus! There will be a "door prize" drawing for a "gift certificate" for a dessert of your choosing: TBD. This will be a pretty important meeting so be sure to come!

Happy cooking :)

First "Kitchen Adventure- Cupcake"... T-Minus 3 Days :D

Soooo...
This weekend my family and I are having a BBQ for my birthday, and we have a somewhat hawaiian theme going... at least in my opinion.
Teriyaki & Pineapple Burgers
Onion Rings
Oriental Cabbage Salad
However, I couldn't come up with a good dessert to go with it. I looked for awhile and finally, I came up with something with coconut and lime. So, we'll see how it goes! I think it should turn out well. I'll post details and pictures as soon as I finish!

Happy Cooking!

Introduction

Hello!!!!
First time blogging so I thought I'd give a brief biography and purpose :]

My name is Alecia and I'm a senior at a wonderful high school. I LOVE to bake and cook, so I thought here I could share great recipes and experiments that I do. I'll most likely have a series called "My Cupcake Adventures" as they're currently my favorite thing to bake.

Also- I am the founder of my schools FCCLA Culinary Arts Club, so I will probably be posting updates here for that as well :)

Happy cooking :D
